This Week's Lightbulb Moment

"It's a small world!"
People say it everyday.
I say it myself, regularly, as I describe seemingly chance connections and events.
It is HE Who sits above the circle of the earth...
Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain...Isaiah 40:22
LIGHTBULB MOMENT:
Not so much a "small world".
Rather, a BIG GOD!

Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel,
"My way is hidden from the LORD,
and my right is disregarded by my God?"

Have you not known?  Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
His understanding is unsearchable.
Isaiah 40:27-28

My Prayer for You...October 20, 2013

My prayer for you and me this week...move close to the Lord with questions, tears, and heartache.

 Lord, God, our God, Your ways are not our ways (Isaiah 55:8).  You are Lord and there is no other (Isaiah 45:5, 6, 18 & 22).  Who are we, the clay, to say to You, the Potter, "What are You making?" (Isaiah 45:9).

May we say with trust and thanksgiving, "The secret things belong to the LORD, our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever..." (Deuteronomy 29:29)

"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever!" (I Chronicles 16:34)
We trust You, Jesus, Savior ~ Amen.

This Week's Lightbulb Moment

From God's view, there are no hiding places!

Our Liberty hiding a stolen cinnamon roll!

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight.  Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to Whom we must give account.
Hebrews 4:13 (NIV)

My frame was not hidden from You,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
Psalm 139:15 (ESV)

My Prayer for You...October 13, 2013

My prayer for you and me this week...
Lord, give us beautiful feet!

Our beautiful suntan feet enjoying and proclaiming the
Good News and peace of God!
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”  Isaiah 52:7

My feet on a rock in the Sea of Galilee.

This Week's Lightbulb Moment

God doesn't play favorites!

Peter fairly exploded with his good news: “It’s God’s own truth, nothing could be plainer: God plays no favorites! It makes no difference who you are or where you’re from—if you want God and are ready to do as he says, the door is open. The Message he sent to the children of Israel—that through Jesus Christ everything is being put together again—well, he’s doing it everywhere, among everyone.  Acts 10:34-36 (The Message)

My Prayer for You...October 6, 2013

My prayer for you and me this week...
Lord, God, in this messed up, chaotic world it is easy to declare, "I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips".  Yet, Lord, would You reveal enough of Your Holiness to Your people, we would cry out with Isaiah, "Woe is me! ...I am a man/woman of unclean lips..."

Holy God, create in Your people a desire to be undone by Your Majesty as King of kings and Lord of lords; begin with me, resulting in my submission to live each day to carry out Your will for Your glory alone, In Jesus' Mighty, Precious and Holy Name!  Amen and amen!!

Isaiah 6:1-3  In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above Him stood the Seraphim...And one called to another and said:
"Holy Holy Holy is the Lord of hosts;
the whole earth is full of His glory!"

Isaiah 6:5-7 And I said: "Woe is me!  For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts!"  Then one of the Seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar.  And he touched my mouth and said: "Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for."

Isaiah 6:8  And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?"  Then I said, "Here I am! Send me."

This Week's Lightbulb Moment

Only God has the authority to speak the words
"never" and "always".

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Remember the former things, those of long ago;
I Am God, and there is no other;
I Am God, and there is none like me.
I make known the end from the beginning,
from ancient times, what is still to come.
I say: My purpose will stand,
and I will do all that I please.
Isaiah 46:9-10
