My Prayer for You...May 18, 2014

My Prayer For You and Me this week...don't be afraid!

Father, God, You know what we face today, tomorrow...this week.  You know the times we feel we're walking a narrow pathway on the edge of a cliff, the times we feel backed into a corner, and the times we strive to keep our balance.  God, You know the frightening circumstances, the bad report, and the sad news before it comes our way!  And knowing all You know, Your word continuously tells us, "Fear not!"

Father, You tell us clearly in Your Word You are the One who fights for us, You will never leave us nor forsake us; You the LORD are our helper, what can man do to us?  When our path suddenly becomes dark and rocky You speak, God; You say, "do not fear, for I am with you."  You remind us, You will strengthen and help us; You will uphold us with Your righteous right hand.

Dear Father, how grateful we are when we read aloud these encouraging words from Isaiah:  Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, "Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, He will come with vengeance; with divine retribution He will come to save you."

So, God our God, Creator of everything in heaven and on earth, our hope and security is in You.  In the words of Your friend, Moses; You, God, are God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes.  He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow and loves the alien, giving him food and clothing.

If Job, who was severely tested, did not forsake You, then who are we to run away in fear.  Lord, Jesus, may we in times of frightening circumstances choose to run toward You, for You are Light and Life, Protection and Provision, Sustainer, Redeemer; You, O God, are Sovereign King, victorious forever! Amen and amen!!

Do not fear, my friend, that's my prayer for you and me this week - no matter the challenge.  Trust in the Lord and do good...commit your way to Him, trust Him and He will act.  He, the Lord God, will bring forth your righteousness and vindicate you with His justice for the glory of His name and because He loves you, His dear child.
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart!

This Week's Lightbulb Moment

Moms are people too!

And in the same way moms are expected to always love, encourage, hope, give, care, dream, bless, and forgive; moms need the same...
freely offered back.

This Mother's Day, regardless of the emotion the word "mom" evokes, remember...

 Moms are people too!

My Prayer For You...May 4, 2014

My prayer for you and me this week...

Father, Abba, in the power of Your Son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, Whom Jesus sent to dwell within us, create in us,Your children, an awareness the day is coming soon; this Great and Awesome day John saw and described for us in Revelation 19:11-16.

I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice He judges and makes war.  His eyes are like blazing fire, and on His head are many
crowns. He has a name written on Him that no one knows but He Himself.  He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is the Word of God.  The armies of heaven were following Him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.  Out of His mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations.  "He will rule them with an iron scepter."  He treads the wine press of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.  On His robe and on His thigh He has this name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS

And, Papa, may this truth that we will soon see our King returning to take us to our Kingdom home cause us daily to be aware of those around us who are perishing without hope and for whom Your return is not yet Good News!

Oh Lord, Jesus, daily You give us opportunity to share life, to bless with Truth, to share the Good News of the Gospel and offer the hope of our coming King to those who are ready to receive their adoption into Your loving family.  Father, God, may we be found faithful to bring in the harvest as the Holy Spirit brings conviction and truth and breathes life into dead bones of the people who exist all around us.

Come Lord Jesus, Come Holy Spirit, Come Lord, God, and do what only You can do for Your Glory! Amen and Amen!!

This Week's Lightbulb Moment.

There's coming a day...

...probably closer than most realize...

...EVERY knee will go to the ground...

...Every tongue will confess...

JESUS CHRIST IS LORD!

Therefore God exalted Him (Jesus, God's Son) to the highest place
and gave Him  the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:9-11

Regardless of what anyone says they believe or do not believe about God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit today; when we take our last breath or when He returns on that Great, Awesome and Fearful day, every creature will know and believe and confess with our tongues, on bent knee,
JESUS CHRIST IS LORD!

All will know and believe and confess.
One day you will know and believe and confess, Jesus Christ is LORD.
One day you will know and believe and confess Jesus Christ is King; He has always been Ruler over your life, and you never have been!
Why not today while there is yet breath in your lungs?
Why wait to do it later, when you will do it, but it will be too late to inherit the Kingdom of God?

Today, if you hear His voice,
do not harden your heart...
Hebrews 3:7-8, 15; 4:7 and Psalm 95:7-8
