My prayer for you and me this week...
Holy Spirit, out of God's great love and mercy, be bold and constant in reminding us of these words spoken by the Lord, Jesus Christ...
If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. For Whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Me and for the gospel will save it. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? (Mark 8:34-36)
As followers of Jesus Christ our allegiance is being tested. How many of us choose silence in the public square because our Christian beliefs aren't welcome? Are we not coerced to keep silent the name of Jesus Christ as Savior by the cultural demands of political correctness while many use His Holy name as a curse word? Do we ever wonder if we are daily bowing ever so slightly lower to appease the cultural norms of man?
God so loved the World...Jesus died for us while we were yet rebellious, proving God's love for us who were without hope.
(John 3:16 & Romans 5:8-9)
Increasingly as the day of our Savior's return draws closer, our belief that Jesus is the Son of God and the only Way to God the Father will be challenged with intimidation. Our reputation may be put on the line, perhaps our ability to transact business, or worse, our very lives may be required.
Lord, Jesus, I (just like Peter) want to believe and declare that I will never deny you before men. In the flesh, we are weak, but when Your Holy Spirit comes on us, He fills us; we receive power and boldness to proclaim Your Name and the gospel message of salvation in words of love to all who are dying without hope.
(John 18:17 & 25-27, Acts 1:8)
Ah, Sovereign Lord, may we choose today whom we will serve. May we heed Your words, "Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts." May we ask to be daily filled with Your Holy Spirit to live in power and boldness overflowing with Joy, Peace and Hope. Savior, may we who are called by Your Name, daily pledge our allegiance to You and to Your Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. (Joshua 24:15, Hebrews 4:7, Psalm 95:7-8, Romans 15:13 and Matthew 6:10)
My prayer for you and me this week...
We will choose today to take up our cross and follow Jesus Christ into eternity; yet while we live and breathe, proclaim with all boldness and love His name ~
Savior, Lamb of God, The Way, The Light of the World, The Lion of Judah, Righteous, Conquering, and Soon Coming King
~ forever and ever, that many will become citizen's of God's Kingdom and joint heirs with His dear Son. Amen!
Welcome! Let's share the journey together as we seek to grow more intimate in our relationship with Jesus. Let us fix our eyes on Him, the Pioneer and Finisher of our faith, so we will shine brightly before the world! Hebrews 12:1-2 and Psalm 34:5
Thank YOU!
Thank you for the gift of your time today. My prayer is each time you stop to visit you are blessed with truth, and encouraged to keep going ~ one foot in front of the other, chin up ~ simply because you've been reminded you are on the road to VICTORY!

My Prayer For You...September 21, 2014
My prayer for you and me this week...
...rejoice and be glad as you watch expectantly for the promises of God to be fulfilled. Lift a glad heart and voice with singing to the sound of refreshing waters...cleansing and life-giving are the waters of our Great Creator and King.
My prayer for you and me this week is an overwhelming awareness of the
One who will bring this to pass...
The desert and the parched land will be glad;
the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.
Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom;
it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy.
The glory of Lebanon will be given to it,
the splendor of Carmel and Sharon;
they will see the glory of the LORD,
the splendor of our God.
Strengthen the feeble hands,
steady the knees that give way;
say to those with fearful hearts,
"Be strong, do not fear;
your God will come,
He will come with vengeance;
with divine retribution
He will come to save you."
Then will the eyes of the blind be opened
and the ears of the deaf unstopped.
Then will the lame leap like a deer,
and the mute tongue shout for joy.
Water will gush forth in the wilderness
and streams in the desert.
But only the redeemed will walk there,
and the ransomed of the LORD will return.
They will enter Zion with singing;
everlasting joy will crown their heads.
Gladness and joy will overtake them,
and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

My Prayer For You...September 14, 2014
My prayer for you and me this week...
LORD, Jesus, Father, Holy Spirit, cause us to be still. Do in us (who are willing to pray this prayer) what only You can do in order for Your Will to be accomplished and for us to receive the greatest blessing of obedience...the JOY of YOU, our LORD! Quiet us, who are Your children, that we might hear You. Speak to us in the night through dreams because it might be the only time of our day You find us still and quiet. For those of Your children who can't sleep in the middle of the night, reveal this time as an anointed opportunity to hear from you in the still and quiet without distractions.
Speak LORD, Your servants are listening. We want to hear You. We want to obey. We want to experience Your Presence and Your Glory. We want YOU, LORD GOD! May our greatest desire be for You...just YOU!
"Be still and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!"
Psalm 46:10
"O God You are my God; earnestly I seek You;
my soul thirsts for You; my flesh faints for You,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
So I have looked upon You in the Sanctuary,
beholding Your power and glory.
Because Your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise You.
So I will bless You as long as I live;
in Your name I will lift up my hands."
Psalm 63:1-4

My prayer for you and me this week...

This Week's Lightbulb Moment...August 28, 2014
Want to meet your neighbors?
Serve ice cream!
I've heard it clearly many times during the past year, "Your place of ministry is your neighborhood, and you don't know your neighbors."
Our first event was a progressive cook out. We ate our meal on one street and then moved the party to another street for dessert. It was a huge success. One neighbor commented he enjoyed visiting with neighbors he hadn't talked with for several years.
What better way to close out the summer than an ice cream - make your own sundae - social, right? Well, many of our neighbors seem to agree!
Want to meet your neighbors?
It's easy...really! Just give it a try for yourself.
All you need is an invitation and some ice cream!
For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
Galatians 5:13-14
I've heard it clearly many times during the past year, "Your place of ministry is your neighborhood, and you don't know your neighbors."
So, with the help of some friends (neighbors I do know), we've set out to create community by providing fun events designed to bring people out of their homes and into fellowship with one another.

My Prayer For You...September 2, 2014
My prayer for you and me this week...
anticipate the unfathomable brilliance of God's Glory; a glory more magnificent than this rising sun over the Atlantic on a clear and calm September morning!
Anticipate the unfathomable brilliance and majesty of King Jesus, riding in on His white horse to claim once and for all His beloved!
Anticipate His very soon arrival. Are you ready?
Come, Lord Jesus, we long for You!
Amen!
